Nainital is observing the 1st State Critical Care Medicine program for two days, this program would refresh the Doctors about the Intensive Care that a emergency patient should be given to reduce the number of death’s at emergencies.
Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine in collaboration with the Ram Murti Hospital , Bareilly invited the doctor’s from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to attend the lectures and the workshop performed by the renowned personalities of the field. The Minister of State for Labor and Employment Harish Rawat in his address asked the doctors from Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh to attend the seminar and then help the patients save their lives. He added that the Doctor’s should have a vast knowledge about the field and they should remove the disease and not the diseased, this would help advancement of the Medical field. He also revealed that the Medical College in Uttarakhand is working properly but the district and base hospitals have to make it to the mark.
The president of the 20year old society Dr. AK Baronia, Pro. And head, Critical Care Medicine SGPGIMS told that if the critical patient reaches the hospital equipped with ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in time his chances of survival becomes higher, and the chances decreases when he loses time. Baronia told that the budget of America is one upon hundred times more than our countries.
Dr. Lalit Singh, Organizing secretary informed that the main conference will be preceded by hands on workshop on AIRWAY Management and Mechanical Ventilation where the delegates will practically work out. Lalit told that speakers of National and International level will discuss about the recent advances in the field of intensive care like Sepsis, Shock, Antibiotics use, Neurotrauma, Tropical infectious diseases, dengue, malaria and fungal, H1N1 influenza, Snake bite etc.
The meeting is expected to go way long improving the healthcare scenario in this region, and will continue tomorrow for the second and last day.
